Resident Evil 3

I think most people were really hyped for the Resident Evil 3 remake. Resident Evil 2 in 2019 was met with unanimous critical acclaim and became one of the best-selling games in franchise. It’s update of a 20-year-old product left audiences stunned with how well Capcom had captured the spirit of the original and injected it with better gameplay, visuals and sound design. This is where Resident Evil 3 comes in and takes those aspects and amplifies them ten fold. The visuals in this game are unbelievable and the game sounds immersive. From gunshots crackling, heads exploding or simply the great voice acting , Resident Evil 3 is excellent on a technical level. The story is fleshed out more than the original (even if Nikolai is still a worthless no good piece of shit) and Jill gets several cool scenes battling Nemesis. On the other hand, unlike Resident Evil 2, Jill’s story has received far more backlash and I for one agree with most people’s sentiments. The game is lazy copying assets and skins over from not just Resident Evil 2, but 7 a game that came out 3 years ago. The design of the fuse plug did not irritate me in two, but it sure irritates me now. The game also cuts large pieces of content out of the original such as the clock tower and only pays homages to that cut content. The devs clearly saw the success of 2 and decided a remake of 3 could rake in some serious cash. I do still think Resident Evil 3 is a good game ad view it as a sort of warning. After 2, all I wanted was a remake of 3 and now we have it and a remake of 4 is already in the works, I have my apprehensions to say the least.
